Australia’s adopted son of comedy, Arj Barker, returns with his brand new show – We Need to Talk. Quite often the phrase ‘we need to talk’ comes when we need to engage in serious conversation. Arj believes ‘we need to talk’ about our interactions as humans and there is a theme to parts of the show around technology and how the world has changed in the last 20 years as a result of the internet and our endless access to it from smart phones.

Arj Barker is undeniably one of the world’s best stand-up comedians with a worldwide following. He has won the coveted Perrier Best Newcomer Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and has performed regular sell out seasons at the Adelaide Fringe Festival and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Barker has toured the world extensively with Australia and New Zealand being regulars on the list. He has made numerous appearances on late night talk shows, including Letterman and Conan O’Brian shows, as well as his own show on Comedy Central. Arj also plays ‘Dave’ on the hit series ‘Flight of the Conchords’. He is no stranger to Australian TV either having appeared on shows such as Thank God You’re Here, Rove, Spicks & Specks, Good News Week, The 7pm Project and Have You Been Paying Attention.
