Meet Hey Poncho
Hey Poncho bring the energy and authenticity of a full band, stripped back into a tight, dynamic duo that delivers every time. Featuring seasoned performers Paul Flaherty (Flash) on guitar and vocals, and Peter Lyndsay (Cyd) on bass and vocals, this pairing draws on decades of live experience across bands like Coloured Jumpers, Joshua Brave, Funbusters and more. Both are strong lead vocalists in their own right, and when they come together, their harmonies are a standout—rich, polished and effortlessly engaging.
At the heart of their sound is a clever, no-compromise setup that keeps things feeling live and real. Using a foot-controlled drum machine (affectionately known as “Al”), Hey Poncho recreate the punch of a three-piece band without relying on backing tracks or sequencing. The result? A genuine, high-energy performance built on guitar, bass and live-triggered drums. With a setlist spanning five decades—from classics by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones through to modern favourites like Kings of Leon and The Fray—Hey Poncho are perfectly suited to weddings, 21sts, pubs, clubs and everything in between.
