Jake Folbigg

Jake Folbigg is a seasoned acoustic soloist delivering warm, crowd-pleasing performances and DJ sets across weddings, venues and events.

Meet Jake

Jake Folbigg is a well renowned solo acoustic musician with over 15 years experience performing at venues across Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, and the Central Coast, becoming a staple in the local music scene.

In 2013, Jake released an original album, and since then, has been continually evolving as an artist, with his biggest influences including John Butler, Xavier Rudd, Ash Grunwald, Ben Harper, and Jack Johnson.

Weddings are where Jake’s heart truly lies; “It’s such an honour to play a part in a couple’s special day, creating tailored music for their celebration, something that they will remember forever. Working with couples to perfect their songs prior to and witnessing their joy as they walk down the aisle is incredibly rewarding. After the formalities, I love to transition to DJ mode, seeing the couple let their hair down after a stressful day and dance the night away to their favourite tunes with their family and best friends.”

People often compliment Jake’s voice, unique covers, and sound quality which sees him in high demand for both venues and event bookings of all variety.

Jake is available as solo acoustic musician and also for DJ services.

It was a pleasure working with you and I deeply appreciate the care and thought you put into every detail. I very much look forward to working with you again in the future.

We honestly had the perfect day. Jake is absolutely incredible and just made the day that much more special for us. Our requested songs were amazing and he is just such a huge talent with his acoustic sets. And the DJ set was just what we wanted, the playlist was spot on and I danced all night with my favourite people.

Booking process was great and you were all really easy to deal with – really appreciated in the chaos of planning a wedding, when not all vendors are this organised and on top of things! Jake was phenomenal – he made the day so easy and seamless that I didn’t need to worry about a thing when it came to the music – it was just perfect. We had so many compliments on the day about how fantastic he was – he matched the vibe perfectly – effortless, relaxed and fun. We have only just got back from overseas and have not gone through my photos/videos yet, but if I do find any, I’ll send them through.

Just wanted to let you know Jake was absolutely awesome! He completely made the night! Everyone was up dancing, and wanted to keep dancing well into the early hours of the morning. We have had people say to us it was the best wedding they have ever been too. Jake played a huge part in this, he read to crowd so well. Please pass on my thanks to him, he was the absolute best thing we picked for the reception. I also voted for EAO Entertainment and Jake in the ABIA awards (Australian Bridal Industry Academy) voting for both at 100% perfect! Thanks again for helping make our day so special!
