Comprising some of the most experienced and well-known professional musicians in the region, The Rumour is the Hunter’s power-house live act for corporate and private events.

With both male and female lead vocalists, and three-part harmonies, The Rumour has the capacity to perform an incredible range of material from artists such as Fleetwood Mac, Cheap Trick, Daft Punk, Prince, Allanah Myles, Michael Jackson, Van Halen and so many more.

MARTY WORRALL: Marty has been singing in bands since he was 16 and has performed all over Australia and the South Pacific. Marty finished 6th in the second series of “Australian Idol” and is the current house backing vocalist for Channel 9’s “The Voice” – The Voice behind the Voice if you please. His vocal versatility sees him just as happy singing rock songs as pop, funk, lounge – you name it!

KARYN RAFTERY: Karyn has been performing in some of Newcastle’s most popular bands for over 20 years. She is best known to many as her alter-ego, Georgie, from the award winning band The Curvetttes, playing to record breaking numbers in venues all over NSW. Karyn has worked in many aspects of the music industry – as a session singer, vocal teacher and as an Entertainment Consultant, giving her a unique understanding of a client’s requirements.

PHILL BELLAMY: Phil, after a brief and unsuccessful porn career as a ′fluffer′ decided to concentrate on his music career because it was more comfortable discussing work at family gatherings. His career path spans over 25 years fronting some of Newcastle′s most loved bands such as The Ultimate Freakout, 1-800, Fruitcake and in the national touring band Zinc.
