This week, we’re keeping it local as there’s some great things happening around Newy that we think you should know about (if you don’t already).
A few great local bands have released new music, Mother’s Day special collaboration, more live streams we’re loving, how to get involved with From A Distance Sessions and how some of Newy’s favourite businesses are spreading kindness in a time of need.
Check out some of our Fresh Friday Finds below.
Glovers Lane Release New Track
5 piece band from Newcastle, Glovers Lane have released a fresh new track today and it’s a banger. The track is called Lonely On Your Own and was written by keyboard player Matt Cross. Woodie McLean, Jack Hayden, Matt Thomas and Jono Burgess have said that they’re really proud of this track and we can see why. The boys are going from strength to strength and here at EAO, we’re loving their tunes and have them on high rotation at the office.
New Tune From Paper Thin
Local emo/pop punk outfit Paper Thin released a new song at the beginning of the month called Malleable. It’s up on Triple J Unearthed right now, so make sure you go and show them some love by rating and reviewing it.
Electro-soul duo, Boo Seeka have dropped a new track today as well called Take A Look. Newcastle born, Ben ‘Boo’ Gumbleton and Michael ‘Mikey’ May deliver pulsating synth sounds with sultry, sweet vocals which create a sound to be enjoyed. They haven’t disappointed with this new release.
