No entertainment idea is unrealistic for us here at EAO, and we’ve had plenty of weird and wonderful requests in our time! Here’s a few of our favourites…
1. Death-defying stunts
Swallowing razorblades, lying on a bed of nails, walking over hot coals, dancing with death and a circular saw… These are just some of the dangerous and daring performances we’ve booked for clients. Not for the faint hearted, but definitely not to be missed!
2. Hypnotists
You’ll lose yourself in our hypnotists – literally! Our team has even tested them out first-hand, and trust us, seeing your colleagues think they’re a professional river-dancer, audition for Australia’s Next Top Model, and pretend to give birth is hilarious! Check out one of our favourite (and funniest) hypnotists, Damien Mindmaster, below:
3. Alice in Wonderland Mad Hatter’s Tea Party
We brought an ‘Alice in Wonderland Mad Hatter’s Tea Party’ to life with a few actors playing the parts of the Cheshire Cat, the Rabbit, Alice, and the Mad Hatter. A fully interactive performance, the characters roamed throughout the party engaging with the guests, and of course, the Rabbit ran about exclaiming his famous line, “I’m late! I’m late! For a very important date!”
4. Paparazzi
Decked out with classic trench coats, hats, notepads and flash-bulb cameras, this group of pushy paparazzi performers hassle and fuss over guests as they make a celeb-worthy entrance to your party. Eager for juicy gossip, no question is out of bounds on the red carpet! The Paparazzis make for a really fun start to an event – especially for a Hollywood, 1920s, 1950s or Las Vegas themed party.
5. Contortionists
Want to blow your guests’ minds? Jaw-dropping, eye-popping, and generally bewildering, a feature performance by a contortionist is a great opening act and a real conversation starter for your event. Only one question will be left on everybody’s lips, ‘How do they DO that?!’
6. Mentalists / Illusionists
Kicking things up a notch from traditional magic, the aim of the game for mentalists and illusionists is to utterly mystify and leave you speechless. One of the best we’ve come across is ‘The Unusualist’ Raymond Crowe, who you might recognise from Australia’s Got Talent.
7. Aerial Performers
Taking entertainment to exhilarating new heights, our aerial performances are a heart-stopping option for large, outdoor events.
8. Singing Waiters
Imagine you and your guests are sitting down to dinner, the waitstaff are busy serving meals and pouring wine… Sounds like a normal evening, right? Well, it won’t be long until you realise three of the waiters are anything but normal, breaking into operatic songs and comedic routines. This is surprise entertainment at its finest!
9. Burlesque Dancers
Add some va-va-voom to your event! Big hair, big eyes, and big moves, our authentic burlesque dancers will make you think you’ve been transported back to a 1920s Parisian burlesque house! A dramatic element to add to any event. If you’re interested, we can even arrange for the dancers to teach you a few tricks or two on the night – a very popular choice for hen’s nights.
10. Fire Breathers / Fire Twirlers
When we really want to heat things up at an event, we call in the experts. These guys pull off some unbelievable red-hot tricks, all without even singeing an eyelash. We don’t know how they do it, but we do know they always strike up a flaming good time!
